Here at Gold Coast Surf Academy we use a unique grading system to assess the skill of each of our students. As the students become more aware about safety and increase their skills in riding a surfboard, they progress to the next level. Each level is noted by a different coloured rash shirt.
Lessons are held daily in two session. A morning session between 9am and 11am, and an afternoon session between 1pm and 3pm.
We offer lessons for groups, private, one-on-one, corporate, universities, schools, and all ages!

| Introduction |
The Gold Coast Surf Academy was founded in 2002 by extreme sportsman, veteran surfer and International renound Surf Coach Johnny Preston. It is situated at the Kurrawa Surf Club at Broadbeach which now is the central hub of the Gold Coast, with its wonderful beaches and sprawling park areas which now attracts international, investors and travelers along with the many families and tourists that choose this area as their holiday destination, allowing students to learn on an all sand bottom beach with easy breaking waves.
The Academy has a very unique relationship with Rip Curl offering all participants 15% off all Rip Curl merchandise at the Cavill ave store in Surfers Paradise. It offers the public the chance to experience the immense joy gained out of learning to surf with daily lessons for the beginner through to intermediate and onto advanced stages.
The curriculum contains an educational theory, in swell, waves, safety and of course a range of surfing skills.
